Books, Books and more Books!

I know this is late in the making--by about a month or so, but here's the second installment. I'm looking to have published two of my biggest books. Let's start with Diary of a Dead Porn Queen--DPQ for short--mentioned in my previous blog. So far, Zane is looking at it, so is Elloras Cave; doesn't mean their going to publish it but it's a start. It's the most unusual and erotic piece I've ever created. Really, its jam-packed with sex, story, some love and a whole lot of comedy. You've got to be a certain type of person to enjoy DPQ. In other words, you've got to have an open mind. Sometimes I think mine is too open, but hey, that's what sells books.
Okay, the main character is Cora Lee Jennings, the proposed inventor of artistic skin flicks in the 1920's--so this is kind of a 'new-historical' piece. It takes place after her death at the age of 98 years old and directors get permission to search her Sunset Boulevard mansion to see what they can come up with for their new movie. What they find are her diaries, but in order to understand the real Cora Lee, they have to watch the corresponding movies--Ah! That's really where the book takes place. Cora had many film names; lets start with three of the biggest ones--Gwendolyn Get-Me, Dora Do-Me and Tammy Tantalizing. Only a few of many, but her blockbuster films center mostly around these characters. The first major movie to break Hollywood in half was Gwendolyn-Get-Me in 'Do You Voodoo?' It takes place in Africa where she has boarded a ship to free herself from her slave-owning parents, George and Georgia Get-Me. Months later, the ship doeck and she gets off. After it departs again, Gwendolyn meets and falls in love with Prince Maleek (yes, Gwendolyn is white). That drove Hollywood insane and they tried banning the rest of her films. Never happened! Cora kept her groove on. Dora Do-Me did the 'Do-Me Diaries'; a young hick singer from the sticks of Hickory, North Carolina makes it big in New York, however, there was one glitch. She ran out of money in Boston and had to work in a whore house to gain enough money to get to the Big Apple. She became the best damn 'woman of the evening' Boston had ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Okay, you get the point? Next we have Tammy Tantalizing in 'Teepee Tales,' the only historical one of the movies. This very lucky pionieer finds all she wants in the loving arms of Wind Whisper, best hunter of a small band of the Sioux tribe. My God--the sex is unbelievable! All of the above is reason enough to publish DPQ--and that's only a start. I think fans will get a freaking kick out of it! With that said, lets move on to my next biggest book I'd love to have published.
Midnight Sun is not an erotic romance, but its my first full-length historical. My plan is to have a line of Native American romances with women of color. Midnight Sun is the first of that line for me. Sahara Redding is the granddaughter of a slave-owning man who had to move to Michigan due to his wife's health. He brings along the slave granddaughter he's raised. One problem--slavery doesn't exist in Michigan. What to do? What to do? Have her work for him incognito! A simple solution, right? Then he dies and leaves his slave offspring a home. Now Sahara is truly free. Another problem--her new home is on the banks of Lake Huron and her neighbors are the Black River Band of Chippewa who are not too cool on having her so close. After all, she did consort with the enemy. Does she find love with the chief or return to the Redding home and live her life alone? Are you kidding me? This is a romance. Keep your ears and eyes open for Midnight Sun. It might get a home one day.
New Books on the Horizon.
I sold Scandalous to Parker Publishing and I'm sooo happy! This one has a baron as the hero--Baron Stuart Byron Edward Westlake, and his co-star is the witty, sex-maiden, Dorian Ann Tobias. Her problem, she has to find her twin sister, romance author Adrian Stone who was kidnapped in England while doing 'research' for her next erotic novel. Yeah! Whatever! Dorian's only source of help comes from the baron himself who is a total rake and had also had a nifty little romance with Adrian. He thinks one is the other until the real identity is exposed. Does Stuart continue to make Dorian's life pure hell or does he 'buck-up' and become a real man? Hint--this is romance so figure it out!
Also on the horizon, Baked Erotica (tentative name) through Urban Books. This is a short one, only 130 pgs--but its chock-full of all the 'good stuff' in life--yeah, sex and love! This is due out in 09. Also set for release in 09 is Red Sky, A Genesis Press release. Set for release this summer is Seduction on the 401 from The Wild Rose Press. Claire William's car plummets into an embankment due to bad weather and a semi riding her tail. Once she hits ground, she looks up to see the semi falling in as well. Does Claire fall victim to the maniac behind the wheel or does she finally find love in all the wrong places? Caution: VERY HOT.
Once again, thanks to my fans for their support, and tune in next time for the real scoop on Scandalous. Email with comments, questions and concerns. Ta, ta for now.
